Charlie White and Amy Purdy earn a perfect score for their quickstep and Argentine tango respectively in the eighth week, which also sees them dancing in a 'Celebrity Dance Duel.'

AceShowbiz - "Dancing with the Stars" season 18 now has its Top 5. Danica McKellar got the boot in the May 5 episode despite her effort to still dance with a broken rib. She landed in the bottom two following last week's performance.

"It's been absolutely amazing. I've had the best time ever," she said after the results were announced. "and I didn't want to see any of them eliminated so I guess it worked out," she added of her fellow contestants. Her pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy praised her for working "really hard" and she, in return, thanked him for teaching her "so much."

Earlier that night, all six pairs performed an individual routine and a "Celebrity Dance Duel" each. "Dance Moms" star Abby Lee Miller served as a guest judge, looking for "straight legs, pointed feet, perfect musicality, inspiration, emotional changes, pretty much everything."

Charlie White and Sharna Burgess danced first and earned a perfect score of 40 for their fast quickstep despite Len Goodman's comment that he wasn't sure if the dance was special enough to get a 10. Abby noticed his foot was "flopping" but praised his "impeccable musicality."

Danica and Val were next to dance, performing a fierce tango. She bounced back from last week's injury, earning 38 points as Abby gushed, "You could have been a professional dancer." Bruno Tonioli dubbed it Danica's "most majestic and powerful performance," while Len said she "took a little to get started," but at the end, "it was terrific."

Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced a rumba which depicted a dysfunctional relationship. Bruno said it's "unconventional and different." Carrie Ann Inaba liked their chemistry, but complained that "there was not enough Rumba content." The Olympic ice dancer earned 36 points.

Carrie Ann said Candace Cameron Bure was "back on track" after she danced a joyful foxtrot with Mark Ballas. Len dubbed it "bright, fun, frivolous," while Bruno said said she still needed to "extend." Candace earned 36 points.

Surviving the chopping block last week, James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd danced a Viennese waltz. Len said it was "lovely," but criticized his legs. Carrie Ann agreed with Len about James' posture and Abby was full of praise for Peta. The Big Time Rush singer earned 36 points.

Refusing to give up to a muscle spasm in her back that she got last week, Amy Purdy was back with an intricate Argentine tango which also earned them a perfect score. Abby praised Amy's partner Derek Hough as "a great choreographer," while Bruno called it "spell-bounding."

Danica and Val were later pitted against Meryl and Maksim to dance a samba. Len loved the technique though they were a little bit off in their synchronicity, Bruno called it "sexy," and Carrie Ann noticed that "some of the turns and bounces were off. The judges gave them 34 points.

Candace and Mark faced off Charlie and Sharna for the duel number, dancing a contemporary. Carrie Ann said it was "spectacular" although Mark dropped Sharna. They earned additional 38 points.

Amy and Derek danced a jive against James and Peta. Carrie Ann said they "were perfect" when they switched partners. Len gushed, "Everything and more that I could have wished to see," while Abby said seeing the performance made her want to "get up and dance." The judges gave them 39 points.
