New Casting Call for 'Star Wars Episode 7' Reveals More Characters

The movie, which will begin filming in London on May 14, is looking for extras with interesting looks, memorable eye-catching looks and unusual type looks.

AceShowbiz - While the roles of the recently announced key cast members of "Star Wars Episode 7" are still kept under wraps, details of other minor characters in the movie are obtained through a casting call. The film is currently looking for extras before the principal photography kicks off in London on May 14.

Among the extras needed are males and females of age 16 and older from any ethnicity, all types, sizes and shapes. The producers are also looking for young adults (16-22), girls and boys, of all ethnic backgrounds, and 16-to-22-year-old girls and boys with interesting looks, character faces, memorable eye-catching looks, unusual type looks, such as facial scars, big beards, long hair, bad teeth.

The film also wants sailors/fishermen/navy types with the description further saying, "Salty Sea Dogs Wanted." There will also be additional casting for smaller speaking roles during production. The extras will film their scenes on various days between May and September in the London, Hertfordshire; Bedfordshire areas of the U.K.

Meanwhile, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker have been confirmed to return to the next installment of the sci-fi movie franchise, with Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Domhnall Gleeson, Daisy Ridley, Andy Serkis and Max von Sydow as new cast members.

J.J. Abrams, who will serve behind the lens, and screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan wished fans a happy "Star Wars" day in a video taped in London. "We are desperately missing our family in California," the director said and Kasdan added, "But we feel very fortunate to be here in London working on the next 'Star Wars' movie."

The new movie is scheduled for a December 18, 2015 release in the United States.
