Shannen Doherty Responds to Being Called a Diva by Jason Priestley in His Memoir
Celebrity

Jason Priestley has not-to-favorable comments about Shannen Doherty and Tori Spelling, but he shares a fond memory of Brad Pitt.

AceShowbiz - Shannen Doherty took to Twitter to share her thoughts on Jason Priestley's book in which he recalled his not-so-good impression when traveling with his former "Beverly Hills 90210" co-star years ago. He said they were flying on a private jet, but she was not impressed with the car that picked them up.

"Her butt had barely hit her seat before she said loudly to the PR person, 'Really? A town car? You send a town car to take me to the airport, not a limo?' She sighed a very put-upon sigh. I laughed, as I couldn't really tell if Shannen was kidding or not." he remembered. "I looked on, becoming more uneasy by the minute as she began b***hing about the short notice and the food on board and the temperature in the cabin and everything else."

"Memoirs are so funny. The truth is rarely told, after all, they are trying to sell a book," she tweeted after excerpt of Priestley's memoir emerged on the web. But she has nothing but good words for him, "Jason is a great guy who I wish well and remember fondly." She also gave him a shout-out, "Hope you're doing great."

Priestley himself insists he didn't mean to diss Doherty, "I do not 'unload' on Shannen in my memoir... Shannen's departure from the show was a sad event for me..." He replied her well wish with a similarly kind message, "You too Shannen. You know I've got nothing but love for you..."

His book also includes a passage about Tori Spelling. The actor remembered finding out on TV that she sold his wedding invite on her yard sale, "I happened to be home watching the local news one night, something I rarely got to do. I saw my very own wedding invitation on screen. Apparently, it had gone for five bucks, including a personal autograph by Tori. She sold my wedding invitation to a stranger."

One of his Twitter followers accused him of kicking Tori and her husband Dean McDermott while they're down, referring to the couple's current rough marriage. But Priestley argued, "I didn't 'slam' them... What could I 'slam' them about? I merely commented on how something they did made me feel."

"Do you think I wrote my book last week? How long do you think these things take??I feel bad for what is happening," he wrote in another post. "to Tori, but it is just unfortunate timing. I wouldn't do this on purpose," he added before firing back at his critics, "Are you nuts??"

Priestley, who once shared a roof with Brad Pitt while they were still struggling in the showbiz, has a more fond memory of his former roommate though. "Just for fun, we used to have competitions over who could go the longest without showering or shaving," Priestley remembered. "Brad always won."
