'True Blood' Debuts First Photos From Final Season

Sookie, Jason, Bill, Jessica, Tara, Alcide and more are featured in the pictures, but Eric is nowhere to be seen among them.

Those who can't wait for new "" episodes can feast their eyes on first photos from the upcoming season 7. Making their way out online ahead of the series summer return, the pictures include a group shot of Sookie, Sam, Jason, Alcide and Andy in the same pose they're featured in the previously released trailer.

Jessica, an angry Tara, Bill and Lafayette get the highlight in other individual images, but Eric is not seen in any of them. Following his last scene in which he's burnt alive in Sweden, Eric is confirmed to return though. It has even been reported that the show will give him a new love interest.

The seventh and final season of the vampire drama series will premiere Sunday, June 22, at 9/8c on HBO. who plays Bill directs the first episode titled "Jesus Gonna Be Here".

The character is described as "a Japanese businessman living in Texas, whose bigger-than-life, urban cowboy demeanor nearly rivals the size of his large Stetsons. The "True Blood" news aside, series regular and husband Moyer recently joined Twitter. The couple posted their selfies as their first tweet.
