Ed Sheeran and The Game Readying a Joint Album

The collaborative project is currently in the works and will be released at the end of this year or in early 2015.

and are joining forces for a collaborative album. The rapper announced the news in a new interview with MTV, saying that he and the British redhead had started recording new tracks for the joint record.

"I'm working on a joint album with Ed Sheeran that we trying to drop probably end of the year, beginning of 2015," he told the site. He went on revealing how the unusual collaboration started, saying, "It happened with a tweet."

"He tweeted something about '', I responded, we exchanged numbers on the DM, and then we got in the studio," he continued. Game and Sheeran initially planned to record just one song, but they " ended up doing like seven."

"Ed came up with the idea to start working on a joint album, and we started doing it," Game added. "That was like in five hours. We was just going. He was on that guitar. Acoustically, he's a genius, man, so when he does that, what comes out of me is songs like 'Dreams' and 'Hate It or Love It' and 'My Life'. The songs that we got, they're real songs. And I can't wait for people to hear 'em."

The joint album will be preceded by the arrival of Sheeran's second solo album, "", which is set to hit the stores on June 23. As for Game, he's now working on "Blood Moon", a compilation album for his Blood Money Entertainment imprint. The record is scheduled to be released in the coming months, while its lead single that's produced by DJ Mustard will be dropped in May.

The Los Angeles MC is also preparing his next solo album, which is currently still untitled.
