Bryan Singer's lawyer has shared more info regarding a lawsuit against his client. The "" director has been accused of sexually abusing a man named Michael Egan III in Hawaii in 1999, but his lawyer Marty Singer told The Associated Press on Friday, April 18 that he had some records which suggested otherwise.

The director's legal team said they had credit card receipts, telephone records and production schedules which showed that the filmmaker was not in Hawaii in August through October 1999 when the abuse allegedly took place. At that time, the director reportedly was in Toronto to work on "X Men". "This was Bryan's first studio film," Singer explained. "Clearly, he's not going to take a break in the middle of this movie while you're shooting and prepping it to go to Hawaii."

Singer refused to provide any of the records because they were private, adding that filming records would be available publicly at 20th Century Fox. He additionally explained to the news outlet that his client was never interviewed by authorities over the alleged abuse.

Egan filed a lawsuit against Singer in Hawaii on Wednesday, claiming the filmmaker abused him and gave him drugs and alcohol. A hearing for the lawsuit has been scheduled for July 21 in Honolulu.
