Pre-production for the Gregg Allman biopic will start in a couple weeks and the filming is expected to begin in June.

"" will resume production in June, a few months after the fatal accident that killed a crew member and injured many others. The filming will be moved from Georgia to Los Angeles "with pre-production starting in a couple weeks," announces IATSE, the international labor union representing crew members in entertainment industry.

"We have expressed our obvious concerns regarding this production starting again. We have demanded that they provide clearances from any and all governmental agencies and/or police agencies that are investigating this company and the individuals involved," the group says.

IATSE will ask the production to comply with all deposit requirements of the Low Budget Agreement, provide proof of all required insurance, and employ a set medic as well as a safety officer on set. "The production has also been informed, in no uncertain terms, that the Union presence on this production will be significant," the union explains.

Although the company did not ask for permission to restart the production, IATSE's Vice President Michael F. Miller, Jr says, "As uncomfortable as this is, we cannot prevent them from starting up again. Whether or not they can get people to work for them is a decision that those people will have to make for themselves."

"Midnight Rider" is a biopic which stars as the lead role. Allman himself serves as a producer. The production was halted after camera assistant Sarah Jones, 27, was killed during an accident this February. She was hit by a train when the crew members were filming on a railroad above Altamaha River in Wayne County, Ga. Rumor suggested they did not have permission to film on the tracks.
