Avi Arad calls the Carnage appearance 'a great idea,' while Matt Tolmach says they are 'taking it into consideration.'

AceShowbiz - Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach, who produced Spider-Man movies, have commented on the suggestion that villainous Carnage should appear in spin-off "Venom (2017)". Arad told IGN, "What a great idea." Tolmach added, "Exactly. The idea of Venom and Carnage... taking it into consideration. Watch out for this Venom movie. We are crazy excited."
There are multiple versions of Carnage's story in "Spider-Man" comic books, but the traditional one mentions the character as a serial killer named Cletus Kasady. He has been introduced into the "Amazing Spider-Man" movie universe via viral marketing on the Daily Bugle Tumblr.
In the report written by Eddie Brock, a reporter who later becomes Venom in the Spidey's world, Kasady is described as "FBI's Most Wanted felon," and a "notorious redhead." He was arrested by authorities "in a small strip mall outside of New Rochelle, New York."
"A barista at a local coffee shop recognized Kasady and eventually called the police. The barista apologized to reporters later admitting she didn't immediately alert authorities hoping Spider-Man would beat them to the scene. 'What can I say? I am a HUGE fan.' "
"Kasady had been sentenced to twelve life sentences for the twelve murders he committed - but escaped while being transported between federal prisons. Sources say Kasady has been remanded to Ravencroft Institute for further interrogation until he is relocated to a maximum security federal prison."
In "Ultimate Spider-Man" comic books, Carnage is a shape-shifting entity which was born from the mixed blood of Peter Parker's that contains Venom suit DNA and Curt Connors/The Lizard's. The evil character kills Gwen Stacy and takes her form before being defeated by Spider-Man.
Alex Kurtzman is attached to direct "Venom" and work with Roberto Orci and Ed Solomon to pen the script. Meanwhile, Drew Goddard ("The Cabin in the Woods") is tapped to write and direct another spin-off, "The Sinister Six", which could explore a tale of redemption. It's unclear if Spidey will appear in one of the anti-hero movies.
In the meantime, "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" will hit U.S. theaters on May 2 with Electro (Jamie Foxx), Goblin (Dane DeHaan), and The Rhino (Paul Giamatti) as villains. "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" will follow on June 10, 2016, and the fourth film which is "not necessarily [be] an Amazing Spider-Man movie" is scheduled for May 4, 2018.
