AceShowbiz - Disney Channel has shared the first footage from "Girl Meets World" via a teaser. The video doesn't show much but introduces the titular girl, Riley, who is Cory and Topanga's daughter.
In the clip, Riley and her best friend Maya are about to sneak out of her room through a window when Cory stops them. "If it was your world, Maya would have you on the subway already, thinking you put something over on me already," Cory tells his daughter.
"How long do I have to live in my father's world?" Riley asks his father, who replies, "Until you make it yours." Then enter Topanga who assures Riley that she and Cory will always be there for her.
"Girl Meets World" reunites Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel as Cory and Topanga respectively. Rowan Blanchard plays their daughter and Sabrina Carpenter takes the role of Maya, who is the Shawn Hunter to Cory.
The show will also bring back Rider Strong, William Russ and Betsy Randle as Shawn Hunter and Cory's parents respectively in a holiday episode. Lee Norris (Minkus) and William Daniels (Mr. Feeny) are set to make appearance in the "Boy Meets World" spin-off as well.
The new comedy series will premiere sometime this summer.
