The 'Pitch Perfect' star sings a lot during her hosting gig, doing a musical in her monologue and rapping about dongs in one sketch.

AceShowbiz - Anna Kendrick didn't shy away from her musical theater background when hosting "Saturday Night Live" on April 5. In fact, she sang in almost all of her sketches, even turning her monologue into a musical with the help of "SNL" regulars. Executive producer Lorne Michaels appeared in the opening bit, watching the show on TV and walking away when Kendrick leaned into him.

Turning into a "nasty girl," Kendrick brought Swedish duo Icona Pop in a sketch where she, Aidy Bryant, Kate McKinnon, Cecily Strong and Sasheer Zamata sang about traveling around the world for a dong hunt. "Each dong is like a snowflake, except that it's a dong," the "Pitch Perfect" star sang.

Kendrick also played Ariel from the "Little Mermaid" who only sang songs by the likes of Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea in babyish tones. Ursula offered to grant Ariel a wish in exchange for her voice, but she later reconsidered her plan to steal Ariel's voice.

In another sketch, Kendrick teamed up with Pharrell Williams who appeared with his iconic hat. The "Happy" hitmaker played himself, choosing a back-up singer with Taran Killam and Kenan Thompson sitting next to him wearing replicas of Pharrell's hat. Kendrick was auditioning for him.

Meanwhile, Bobby Moynihan impersonated "Game of Thrones" book author George R.R. Martin in Weekend Update. He explained why he made slow progress on finishing his "A Song of Fire and Ice" novel series, revealing that the next book takes place in Denver and the kingdom's three kings are named Ross, Rachel and Chandler.
