Wu-Tang Clan Offered $5 Million for the Only Copy of Secret Album

The rap group's mastermind RZA says that someone has offered $5 million for 'Once Upon a Time in Shaolin', the 31-song album whose release date is still unknown.

's special album "" hasn't arrived yet, but it's already set to be sold for millions. The rap group has received an offer of $5 million for the record, which will be available as one physical copy.

, the mastermind of the project, made the revelation in a new interview with Billboard.com. "Offers came in at $2 million, somebody offered $5 million yesterday," he told the site. "I've been getting a lot of emails: some from people I know, some from people I don't know, and they're also emailing other members of my organization."

"So far, $5 million is the biggest number," he continued. "I don't know how to measure it, but it gives us an idea that what we're doing is being understood by some. And there are some good peers of mine also, who are very high-ranking in the film business and the music business, sending me a lot of good will. It's been real positive."

"Once Upon a Time in Shaolin" will include 31 songs and it will be presented in "a hand carved nickel-silver box" designed by British-Moroccan artist Yahya. The project features Wu-Tang Clan's new music with guest appearances from Bonnie Jo Mason, and FC Barcelona soccer players.
