Rihanna, Justin Timberlake Lead iHeartRadio Awards Nominees

The Bajan singer and the former NSYNC member are competing against each other in categories like Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Collaboration.

and are among musicians who score multiple nominations at the first annual iHeartRadio Awards. The Bajan singer is the biggest nominee as she bags seven nods in categories including Artist of the Year and Best Fan Army.

Her collaboration with , "The Monster", is nominated for Song of the Year and Best Collaboration awards. The same two categories also include the 25-year-old star's hit single with Mikky Ekko, "Stay".

Meanwhile, Timberlake nabs five nominations in four different categories including Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for "Mirrors". He's also nominated twice in the Best Collaboration category for his own single "Suit & Tie" and 's hit "Holy Grail".

Behind Timberlake is , who's also up for Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for their "Radioactive". The Las Vegas-based rock band is also set to compete against country duo , Swedish duo , Kiwi singer , rap duo & Ryan Lewis and newcomer Passenger in Best New Artist category.

Other nominees include (Song of the Year, Hip-Hop/R&B Song of the Year for "Hold on We're Going Home"), (Best Fan Army and Country Song of the Year for 's "Highway Don't Care") and (EDM Song of the Year, Best Lyrics for "Wake Me Up").

Nominees of iHeartRadio Awards were based on results from the newly introduced iHeartRadioChart, which compiles airplay-based listener feedback and performance data, digital streaming data from the iHeartRadio platform and sales, social video data and tags from Big Champagne and Shazam. Winners will be revealed at the ceremony that's set to air May 1 on NBC from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
