CBS' Summer 2014 Line-Up: Halle Berry's 'Extant' and 'Under the Dome' Season 2

The mystery thriller starring Berry as a female astronaut will debut July 9, while the drama series based on Stephen King's novel will return with new episodes starting June 30.

CBS has unveiled its summer 2014 schedule, with new high-profile show "" and hit series "" being lined up. " 16" opens the list, being set to premiere Wednesday, June 25 at 8 P.M., followed by its Thursday show on June 26 at 9 P.M. and the Sunday broadcast on June 29 at 8 P.M.

Newbie "" debuts Sunday, June 29 at 9 P.M., followed by the third season premiere of "" at 10 P.M. Last summer's hit "Under the Dome" returns with the second season Monday, June 30 at 10 P.M., while "Extant" starring will debut Wednesday, July 9 at 9 P.M.

Mystery thriller "Extant" centers on a female astronaut (Berry) who is trying to reconnect with her family when she returns after a year in outer space. Her experiences lead to events that ultimately change the course of human history.

As for "Reckless", the sultry legal drama is set in Charleston, S.C., where a gorgeous Yankee litigator and a charming Southern attorney must hide their intense mutual attraction as a police sex scandal threatens to tear the city apart. , Anna Wood, Gregory Harrison, Michael Gladis, Georgina Haig and more are among the cast ensemble.
