First Official Trailer for 50 Cent's 'Power': The Temptation of Legitimate Life

March 3, 2014, 7:45 am GMT

As his New York club grows successful, Ghost wonders if he can escape his dark past and live a peaceful life.

Starz has debuted the first official trailer for 50 Cent's "Power" after previously releasing the teaser. It highlights the glamorous lifestyle of clubgoers in a New York night club, which is run to cover a shady business, and offers glimpses at the brutal drug trade.

Now that his club grows successful, James "Ghost" St. Patrick contemplates to leave his dark past and live a legitimate life. As he's seduced by the prospect, everything precious to him becomes unknowingly threatened.

"In this world, power seduces. Power corrupts. Power consumes. Welcome to a day in the life," a tagline for the video reads. Omari Hardwick takes the lead role as Ghost, joined by Naturi Naughton, Joseph Sikora, Sinqua Walls, Kathrine Narducci and more in the cast line-up.

50 Cent serves as the executive producer for "Power" alongside Courtney Agboh, Mark Canton and Randall Emmett. The crime drama series is expected to premiere this summer on Starz.
