'Breaking Bad' and 'Game of Thrones' Dominate TV Nominations for 2014 Saturn Awards

'Bad', 'Thrones' and 'Falling Skies' lead the pack with five each, followed by 'American Horror Story: Coven', 'Hannibal', 'Under the Dome' and 'The Walking Dead' with four apiece.
'Breaking Bad' and 'Game of Thrones' Dominate TV Nominations for 2014 Saturn Awards

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films has announced the nominations for the 40th Annual Saturn Awards. In TV field, "" still shows its domination despite having ended its run last year.

The AMC series leads the other nominees with five nods, the same number collected by "" and "". The three shows are vying for Best Television Presentation of a Limited Run Series, also fighting against relatively newcomers "", "" and "".

"Bad" has its lead actor in contention for Best Actor against of "", of "Bates Motel", of "", of ""and of "Falling Skies".

Cranston's co-stars and also earn an acting nod each, in Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor categories respectively. Robert Forster additionally is nominated for Best Guest Star for his role as Ed on the crime drama.

"Thrones" star is also up for Best Supporting Actor alongside Paul, Erik Knudsen of "", of "", Dean Norris of "" and of "The Following".

The HBO hit drama pits against Michelle Fairley for Best Supporting Actress, while Jack Gleeson is nominated for Best Performance by a Younger Actor. Meanwhile, TNT's "Skies" earns its three other nominations in Best Supporting Actress (Sarah Carter), Best Guest Star () and Best Performance by a Younger Actor (Connor Jessup).

Other shows with multiple nominations include ": Coven", "Hannibal", "Under the Dome" and "", which trail behind "Bad" with four noms.

"", "The Blacklist", "The Following", "Hannibal", "", "" and "Under the Dome" are vying for the title of best new TV series, while "", "", "", "", "" and "" are possible Best Youth-Oriented Television Series.

The movie and TV winners of the 2014 Saturn Awards will be presented with the trophies in a ceremony in June in Burbank in California.
