'Guardians of the Galaxy' Full Trailer: Chris Pratt Shows Star-Lord's Hilarious Side
Movie

The self-proclaimed Star-Lord joins rude and bored-looking fellow outlaws Drax, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, and Groot in jail.

AceShowbiz - The first full trailer for Marvel's much-awaited superhero film "Guardians of the Galaxy" has finally arrived. Unlike the previous teaser which focuses only on the action scenes, the new and longer video coming out exclusively via "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" highlights some humorous scenes mostly featuring Star-Lord.

The video opens with Peter Quill getting his hands on a mysterious orb artifact, but some people show up pointing guns at him before he could get out of that place. He introduces himself as Star-Lord, only to get a perplexed reaction from his captors. Apparently, the self-proclaimed Lord is not as famous as he thought he was.

While it doesn't offer much info on the plotline, the trailer does give backstories of the whole crew who is portrayed as outlaws. Drax the Destroyer has been in a rampage across the galaxy in his search for vengeance after his family was killed, while Gamora is a soldier/assassin wanted on over a dozen counts of murder.

Rocket Raccoon has, in his criminal record, over 50 charges of vehicular theft and escape from lockup. Then, Groot is on display. He is too tall so he has to look down through the window so people on the other side of the observation room could see his face. He comes in one package with Rocket because he has been traveling as the gunslinger's personal houseplant/muscle.

The last but not least, there is Star-Lord who is wanted mostly for minor assault, public intoxication and fraud. While the pint-sized Raccoon rudely spits on the floor, Quill makes a scene by giving a comical middle-finger gesture and then acting all innocent when the "obscene gesture alert" is set off. "I'm sorry! I didn't know how this machine worked!" he says.

Chris Pratt stars as Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, and Zoe Saldana as Gamora. Meanwhile, Bradley Cooper voices Rocket Raccoon and Vin Diesel voices Groot. Directed and written by James Gunn, the film will be released in the United States on August 1 in 3D.
