The 'Canyons' scribe says he enjoys working with Kim Kardashian's fiance, calling it a 'kind of mind-blowing' experience.

AceShowbiz - Kanye West is working on a movie inspired by his latest studio album "Yeezus". "American Psycho" writer Bret Easton Ellis is tapped to work on the script. The two previously worked together in a "Psycho"-inspired video featuring the rapper's song "Black Skinhead".

"You know what, I can't," Bret says to Vice when asked what to expect from the upcoming collaboration. "It's in Kanye-land and that's subject to a whole other time frame. He came and asked me to write the film. I didn't want to at first. Then I listened to 'Yeezus'."

"It was early summer last year and I was driving in my car," he recalls. "He'd given me an advance copy and I thought, regardless of whether I'm right for this project, I want to work with whoever made this. So f**k it, I said yes. And that's how it happened. That was seven or eight months ago. We'll see what happens."

Bret furthermore says that he enjoys working together with Kanye, "I really like him as a person. I know he comes off in this performance art way in the press, but if you're just alone with him in a room talking for three hours, it's kind of mind-blowing."

Back in summer 2013, "The Canyons" scribe told MTV News how their first project came about, "I wrote it. Kanye came to me and asked me to write it so I wrote the promo. I just got a text one day ... it said, 'It's Kanye, do you have time to rap?' "

"And then suddenly my phone rang and someone said, 'Kanye got your number and he wants you to write this promo for Yeezus,' And so we went back and forth on it and he wanted it done, like, that day. So I wrote it very quickly and they shot it two or three days later."
