First Teasers for 'Star Wars Rebels' Unleashed

The promo videos feature lead character Ezra and offer a glimpse at other characters as well as the spaceships.

Disney XD has shared new footage from "" by releasing first two official promos for the upcoming animated series. Titled "Ignite" and "Spark", the video feature lead character Ezra and tease other characters, some spaceships as well as battle scenes.

"Star Wars Rebels" takes place between the events of "" and "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope". It is set in a time where the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights.

But there are a select few who are brave enough to stand up against the endless Stormtroopers and TIE fighters of the Empire: the clever and motley crew of the starship "Ghost." Together, this ragtag group will face threatening new villains, have thrilling adventures, and become heroes.

Taylor Gray voices Ezra, a charismatic teenage con artist who is just starting to learn how to use the Force. also lends his voice to Kanan Jarrus, a renegade Jedi, who keeps his lightsaber under lock and key and brandishes a blaster instead to avoid the attention of the Empire.

The new series will premiere as a one-hour special on Disney Channel in this coming fall season before airing as a full-fledged TV series on Disney XD.
