Bethenny Frankel's Talk Show Canceled After Only One Season

Following soft ratings, 'Bethenny' had lost its affiliate clearances as TV stations are making rooms for Meredith Vieira's new daytime show.

's hosting stint is apparently a short-lived one. Her syndicated daytime talk show titled "Bethenny", which is executive produced by , has been canceled after only one season following soft ratings.

According to Deadline, producer Telepictures Prods. and its station partner, the Fox O&Os, tried to keep the show around but it had lost its affiliate clearances, which represented about 70 percent of the country, as TV stations are making rooms for Meredith Vieira's upcoming talk show which will debut this fall.

"We are incredibly proud of the creativity, passion and professionalism Bethenny and her staff brought to daytime each and every day and look forward to finishing out the season with more great original episodes," Telepictures says in a statement.

"While we are disappointed not to be able to bring the series back for a second season, we remain convinced that she has a unique voice and that she will continue to be successful in the future."

Frankel adds, "I had a blast doing this show with Telepictures. My entire staff worked so hard and made everyday so much fun. I am thankful for the experience and for all my fans who tuned in every day."

A source, meanwhile, tells E! News that the former star of "" is "bummed out" with the show's cancellation. "She loved doing the show. But at the same time, it's a blessing in disguise," the source says. "She has so many other projects to work on. She's focused on continuing to build her brand and making it bigger and better than ever."

"Bethenny" will continue airing original episodes through May. The show which launched last fall has averaged just over 1.1 million an episode and a 0.9 household rating.
