The eight grade teacher from Florida has been suspended for three days after asking students to underline examples of figurative language in the uncensored version of Wayne's '6 Foot 7 Foot'.

AceShowbiz - A teacher has landed in hot water for giving students a homework assignment involving the lyrics of Lil Wayne's song. WPTV reported that the eight grade teacher of The Charter Schools of Boynton Beach, Florida, was suspended after asking students to underline examples of figurative language in the uncensored version of Wayne's "6 Foot 7 Foot".

Some parents were uncomfortable with the explicit lyrics of the song. An angry parent named Vanessa Guzman said, "This is crazy. They shouldn't be giving this to kids in school... I'm uncomfortable reading any of this... They shouldn't be teaching this stuff in school for language arts. I mean, who in their right mind would give kids something like this?"

The teacher was suspended for three days. The school's headmaster has responded to the news, writing in a statement, "The lesson was for students to learn to identify literary devices. The teacher had already introduced Edgar Allen Poe and Shakespeare."

"Students were having difficulty grasping the concepts of literary devices such as: pun, simile, metaphor, so the teacher used colloquial material. This material did not meet the school's standards and was not approved. The teacher recognizes that it was totally inappropriate for a school assignment," the statement continued.

Wayne's "6 Foot 7 Foot" features lines like, "Two b**ches at the same time, synchronized swimmers/ Got the girl twisted cause she open when you twist her/ Never met the b**ch, but I f**k her like I missed her." The track appears in the rapper's "Tha Carter IV" album, which peaked at No. 1 on Billboard 200 after it was released in 2011.
