Grammy Awards 2014: Daft Punk Wins Album of the Year as Full Winner List Is Revealed

Following a touching mass wedding at the 2014 Grammy Awards, 'Random Access Memories' by Daft Punk is announced as Album of the Year.

AceShowbiz - The complete winner list at the 56th annual Grammy Awards has been revealed. At the Sunday, January 26 event which was hosted by LL Cool J, Daft Punk took home the prestigious title of Album of the Year with their work "Random Access Memories". The French duo defeated other strong contenders such as Sara Bareilles' "The Blessed Unrest", Kendrick Lamar's "Good Kid, M.A.A.D City", Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "The Heist" as well as Taylor Swift's "Red".

Daft Punk received multiple awards that night, which included Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Get Lucky" as well as Album of the Year and Best Dance/Electronica Album for "Random Access Memories". The robot-masked duo did not say anything when receiving their trophies on stage, but Pharrell Williams spoke for them. "I bet France is really proud of these guys right now," he said while on stage receiving record of the year.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis were also big winners. They took home trophies in the categories of best new artist as well as best rap album, song and performance. Justin Timberlake won three awards, while Lorde nabbed two. She won in the category of Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.

In addition to performing with Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney took home two trophies. He won Best Music Film and Best Rock Song for "Cut Me Some Slack".
