The 'Nine Inch Nails' member will create music for David Fincher's movie, while Elfman is entrusted with the task of scoring the steamy drama directed by Sam Taylor-Wood.

AceShowbiz - Trent Reznor confirms he will be making score for the upcoming big-screen adaptation of Gillian Flynn's mystery thriller novel "Gone Girl". "Yes, Atticus and I are scoring David Fincher's upcoming Gone Girl!" the Nine Inch Nails rocker announces on Twitter.

Reznor worked with English musician Atticus Ross in scoring 2010's "The Social Network" and 2011's "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)". They won an Oscar for Best Original Score for the former, and went on to grab a Grammy for Best Score Soundtrack for the latter.

The film will revolve around the story of a woman who disappears on the day of her fifth anniversary and all roads point to her husband as the killer. Ben Affleck plays the husband, and Rosamund Pike portrays the wife. The movie is set for an October 3 release in the United States.

Meanwhile, Danny Elfman is tapped to provide score for film adaptation of E.L. James' steamy book "Fifty Shades of Grey". Directed by Sam Taylor-Wood, the sexually-charged pic is led by Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan. The film will open Stateside February 15, 2015.
