Golden Globes 2014: Jennifer Lawrence Is Best Supporting Actress, 'Ordinary Love' Wins Original Song

The 'American Hustle' actress brings home Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture trophy, while U2's 'Ordinary Love' for 'Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom' wins Best Original Song.

First winners have been announced at the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards. brought home Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture trophy for her work in "". She beat other actresses such as with her movie "", with her historical flick "", for "" and with "".

After receiving her trophy, Lawrence thanked director David O. Russell and said, "I actually did watch all the films this year - well, not all of them, but you know what I mean. So I can say that the women tonight, it's such an honor to be nominated with you." The 23-year-old star, who apparently was nervous on stage, added, "I don't know why this is so terrifying; it's obviously a good thing. I don't know why I'm so scared. I'm sorry."

Following announcements for the winners in TV categories, the trophy for Best Original Score in a Motion Picture was handed to Alex Ebert for his work in "". Other nominees in the category included Alex Heffes (""), Steven Price (""), John Williams ("") and Hans Zimmer ("").

Shortly after, Best Original Song went to 's "Ordinary Love" for "Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom". took the stage and paid tribute to Nelson Mandela, calling the beloved figure the "man who refuses to hate" before mentioning that the award was "really personal, for us."
