The feud started after the "" star made an unfavorable comment on LaBeouf's skywriting apology to Daniel Clowes whose work he ripped off for his short film. "I've always felt, utterly and unchangeably, that only sociopaths hire skywriters," she deadpanned, before adding, "The worst part is I'd probably totally drop my morals, and my pants, if someone skywrote to me."

The "" actor re-tweeted Dunham's message and replied by deliberately copy-pasting her October 2012 apology over a Halloween costume joke she made that also stirred controversy. "I don't mind creating debate with thoroughly considered artistic expressions but I don't want to offend with a tweet. Sorry world," so he wrote.

"Vaguely recognized Shia Labeouf's latest twitter apology and realized it was MINE! Touche, Louis Stevens," she responded, referring to his character on Disney series "Even Stevens". She went on, "Projecting a lot of rage against my 7th grade boyfriend on LaBeouf. Think this is the start of something really productive #2014."

LaBeouf also re-tweeted Oswalt's negative comments. "Not easy to pull off crazy AND moronic, but you did it, Shia LaBeouf. Sheer a**holery ahead," they read. "Dear Shia LaBeouf (@thecampaignbook): If you're gonna be that dumb, delusional AND boring when you speak, just go ahead and plagiarize."

The "" actor commissioned an "I am sorry Daniel Clowes" message in the Los Angeles sky on New Year's Day. He tweeted its picture along with a note, "CLOUD: - vapor floating in the atmosphere - remote servers used to SHARE DATA - to make LESS CLEAR or TRANSPARENT."

It was his latest apology after he revealed his "2014 Resolution." "I need to work on being a less controversial tweeter," he said. "I am sorry for all the plagiarized tweets, they all were unintelligent, ambiguous and needlessly hurtful. You have my apologies for offending you for thinking I was being serious instead of accurately realizing I was mocking you."
