Carl Takes Center Stage in 'The Walking Dead' Midseason Poster

The key art to the second half of season shows Carl slightly looking back to the past while his father moves on.

AceShowbiz - Carl has come a long way to be a stand out in "The Walking Dead" and he has now taken the front center spot in the new midseason poster. The key art to the second half of season 4 gives minor spoiler that Carl and his father Rick are not reunited with the rest of the gang anytime soon.

The last time audience saw of the group together was when it all went down with the Governor's troupe. With the prison losing its protective fences and the enemy firing at them, Rick's gang was separated into several groups. Carl stood by his father and had to swallow bitter pill upon finding his baby sister's empty carriage.

With the caption "Don't Look Back", the poster suggested that Carl is still reeling on the past. It looks like Carl would get a lot of screen time and a great story arc. The teaser previously released for the February return showed Carl trying to wake somebody up, most possibly Rick who sustained a gunshot wound to his leg.

"The Walking Dead" returns February 9 on AMC. Comicbook.com gave away some spoilers, a couple of which are worth noting. Daryl will get a standalone episode, and judging from the midseason finale, he will be joined by Beth. The main characters are still not safe from death. A major character will be killed in fourth season and it's going to be shocking because the character is not dead in the comic books.
