Motion picture theater owners and film buyers select the 'Hunger Games' actress as the top money-making star of the year.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lawrence, 23, is named the top money-making star of 2013. The "Silver Linings Playbook" actress is motion picture theater owners and film buyers' most favorite as reflected in Quigley Publishing Company's a year-end poll.

Sandra Bullock, who starred in two hit movies "The Heat" and "Gravity" this year, ranks second, and Lawrence's "American Hustle" co-star, Bradley Cooper places third. Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington follow in respective order.

The rest of the top 10 are filled by Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Hugh Jackman and Melissa McCarthy.

Lawrence was named Quigley's Stars of Tomorrow along with Joseph Gordon-Levitt in 2012. She had at least two big hits back then, box office blockbuster "The Hunger Games" and strongly-lauded "Silver Linings Playbook" which later earned her Oscar's Best Actress.

It's the first time an actor has gone from being a Star of Tomorrow to becoming the most bankable star in just a year. Her biggest credits are her performances in David O. Russell's adaptation of the 1970s FBI ABSCAM operation, and in "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire".

This year's Stars of Tomorrow go to another of Lawrence's "American Hustle" co-star Amy Adams, and "Oz the Great and Powerful" actor James Franco.

Aside from being voted the top money-making star, Lawrence is also named Entertainer of the Year by the Associated Press, becomes Forbes' third-Best Actor for the Buck, and appears among the most influential people in the world on TIMES' annual list.
