The son of Phil Robertson sat down for a NYE interview with Fox News Channel, saying the family is ready to move on from the recent controversy.

AceShowbiz - During Fox News Channel's New Year's Eve special, Phil Robertson's son Willie and his wife Korie addressed the "Duck Dynasty" controversy that stemmed from Phil's comment on homosexuality. Willie confirmed that the entire family has a good relationship with A&E despite Phil's brief suspension from the show.

"A&E and us are fine [and] we're looking forward to getting back to making some funny shows," Willie told anchors Bill Hemmer and Elisabeth Hasselbeck. "It's a new year, so we're ready to break in a new year and start all over again"

Phil was under fire after his interview with GQ magazine was published. He compared homosexuality to bestiality and said that being gay is illogical to him because "it seems like, to me, a vagina-as a man-would be more desirable than a man's anus." A&E excluded him from filming but lifted the ban nine days later.

The new season will start Sunday, January 15 at 10/9c. "We got a new season coming up in a couple weeks, and we're really excited about that," Willie added during the Fox News interview. "We got a couple of episodes filmed ... and we're ready to move on. I think we all learned a lot, and we're just ready to move on, and the family's happy and ready to go. I've got to make sure my guys are back there building duck calls."

Korie added, "At the end of day, we sit down and thank God for our blessings, and we're gonna continue to do that and hopefully we can spread that message. And I think, as a country, if we can come back to that a little bit, we'll have a great 2014."
