AceShowbiz - After taking a lengthy hiatus from music, Ma$e returned with a new song called "Why Can't We". Featuring guest appearance from Her, the track features the Harlem rapper showcasing his vocal over soft claps and drum beats.
At the beginning of the song, he makes references to Drake and Jay-Z. "Jay said it, Drake said it/ Don't be mad now cause Ma$e say it/ Come to find out I'm Ye favorite, APs up to all the naysayers," raps Ma$e.
The new song precedes the arrival of "Now We Even", Ma$e's first album in nearly a decade. When announcing the record back in October, he revealed that he would like to collaboate with the likes of Jay-Z, Drake, Ariana Grande, Beyonce Knowles and Lauryn Hill.
During his break from music, Ma$e was featured in some projects by fellow musicians. Last year, he appeared in "Cruel Summer", a compilation set by artists signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D Music. Last August, Drake brought out Ma$e onstage at his OVO Fest.
