AceShowbiz - ABC hypes up the upcoming return of "Revenge" by sharing a clip from the new episode. Picking up where the midseason finale left off, the video gives a look at Emily in the aftermath of the fatal shooting on her wedding day.
The one-and-a-half-minute clip sees Daniel visiting Emily who is lying in a hospital bed. Seemingly dreading meeting his new wife, Daniel is surprised when Emily asks him, "What happened?"
"You don't know? What do you remember?" he asks back. "Nothing," she replies. "I don't remember anything. Please tell me! Who am I?"
"Revenge" will return with the remainder of its third season on Sunday, January 5 at 9/8c on ABC. In the first episode titled "Homecoming", as allies and enemies scramble to learn what happened the night of Emily's wedding, the Graysons close ranks to protect their own. But when everyone's a suspect, it's only a matter of time before they tear each other apart.
Showrunner Sunil Nayar said Daniel wouldn't be immediately caught for his action since "there are a couple of different people who become primary suspects" in the shooting, but he would be "tormented by the nature of what he's done."
Of whether Emily really lost her memory, Nayar said, "At the moment, she has lost her memory of all of it." Emily VanCamp, meanwhile, said of her character, "She's so lost, she's so confused, she's so vulnerable. It's a whole different side we've never seen."
