Hawke joins forces with his daughter Maya to sing duet songs and cheer up patients who will spend the holidays at the hospital.

AceShowbiz - Ethan Hawke wants to bring happiness to people who spend the holidays at hospital. The actor went to New York Methodist Hospital on Mondays, December 23 to cheer up some patients who were undergoing treatment. Joining forces with his 15-year-old daughter Maya, the "Before Midnight" star brought a guitar to perform duets.
"It was nice to see that he came out when he didn't have to. I was feeling a little down. It made my day," a 39-year-old Sonya Clarke from Brooklyn said, as quoted by New York Daily News. She was undergoing chemotheraphy during the visit. "He did it on his own, just him and his daughter, to spread some love," Clarke added.
The real estate agent Clarke additionally commented that the daughter of Hawke and Uma Thurman had "soothing" voice. She said, "I was just so mesmerized by his daughter's voice. She's young. I was thinking she should be on 'The Voice'. "
"When you're in the hospital you feel depressed because you are not with your family. Situations like this make you see what's important and who is important. I'm just glad I'm back home so I can get some healing," she continued.
