The FredWreck-produced track is a cover of Elvis Presley's classic called 'Blue Christmas'.

AceShowbiz - Snoop Dogg has given his fans a special Christmas present. Just in time for the holidays, the 42-year-old rapper released "Blue Xmas", which is a cover of Elvis Presley's 1957 song "Blue Christmas". The track was produced by FredWreck.

"And when those blue snowflakes start falling/ That's when those blue memories start calling/ You'll be doing alright with your Christmas of white/ But I'll have a blue Christmas," Snoop can be heard singing about his not-so-happy Christmas.

"Silent night, lonely night/ I wish you were here to hold me tight," he continues, while female fans are screaming in the background.

Snoop has been busy with his non hip-hop projects. Last year, he changed his name into Snoop Lion for his reggae album, "Reincarnated". He also transformed himself into Snoopzilla for an album with Dam Funk, "7 Days of Funk". Now, the musician is reportedly set to collaborate with Bobby Womack for what will be the soul singer's 28th album.

UPDATE (Dec. 26, 2013 08:26 GMT): Snoop Dogg has just released the music video for "Blue Xmas". In the clip, which features old film effect, he's seen donning a Santa hat and singing the song while playing his guitar beside a Christmas tree.
