The 'With You' singer is allowed to leave rehab with super strict supervision to attend a charity drive which distributes toys for underprivileged children prior to Christmas celebration.

AceShowbiz - Chris Brown has been allowed to leave rehab to attend a charity event benefitting underprivileged children. The singer joined Brooklyn Projects Melrose in Los Angeles on Sunday, December 22 to collect toys for the children. Wearing a red cap and black t-shirt, Brown looked happy as he interacted with fans at the event.

"Thank you to all the fans who brought gifts for the kids today. Have a wonderful holiday. You've made a merry Christmas for a young child!" Brown wrote in a Twitter post after the toy drive. He also shared a photo of him and crowd of fans who took part at the toy drive. "MY TEAM IS THE BEST!" he wrote.

According to TMZ, the singer attended the event with tight supervision. Brown was given some time enough for traveling and ordered to return at 4 P.M. He would also undergo a drug test when he went back and reportedly would be kicked out if he misbehaved.

Brown, who was still under probation for assaulting Rihanna, was arrested in October after he allegedly punched a man. Earlier this month, a judge revoked Brown's probation. He, however, did not go to jail because he was under rehab order.

A director of the program told the court on December 16 that Brown showed improvement during treatment, "The clinical and medical team have witnessed very positive change in Mr. Brown since his psychotropic medications have been changed and he has been taken off medical marijuana. His ability to emotionally regulate himself has improved markedly."
