The 'One Tree Hill' alumna suffers concussion, whiplash and 'a seriously bruised butt' while filming the upcoming drama series.

AceShowbiz - Sophia Bush recently got injured during the shooting of her new series "Chicago PD". The actress took to Instagram on Sunday, December 22 to share a photo of her wearing a neck brace, but played down the seriousness of the injury as she showed a funny face.

"Friday was not fun," she detailed the incident in a message posted along with the picture. "Had an accident chasing a bad guy through the mean streets of Chicago." Telling fans, "Don't worry y'all. I am okay. The CT scan said so," she revealed, "My brain is in tip top shape despite my concussion. Just a little whiplash and a seriously bruised butt. And a slightly bruised ego."

The 31-year-old who previously starred as Brooke Davis on The CW's "One Tree Hill" added, "But these war wounds are worth it. My job is the s**t. #ChicagoPD @nbcchicagopd PS. All I kept thinking in the ER was, 'where are Shay and Dawson!?' @nbcchicagofire."

Bush lands one of the major roles as Detective Erin Lindsay on the "Chicago Fire" spin-off, joining Jon Seda who returns as Det. Antonio Dawson and Jason Beghe who reprises his role as Sgt. Hank Voight. The new police drama series centers on the Chicago Police Department's District 21.

Divided into two distinctly different groups, it consists of the uniformed cops who patrol the beat and go head-to-head with the city's street crimes and the Intelligence Unit that combats the city's major offenses - organized crime, drug trafficking, high profile murders and beyond.

The new show will premiere January 8, 2014, at 10 P.M. ET on NBC.
