Vin Diesel announces the new release date on Facebook while recalling his last scene with late co-star Paul Walker.

AceShowbiz - "Fast and Furious 7" gets a new release date. Originally scheduled to hit theatres in the United States on July 11, 2014, the new movie is now due to be released across the country on April 10, 2015. Vin Diesel announced the delay while discussing his final scene with late co-star Paul Walker.

"The last scene we filmed together...There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared... in the film we were now completing... the magic captured... and, in just how far we've come...," he wrote on Facebook. "Fast and Furious 7 will be released...April 10th 2015! P.s. He'd want you to know first..."

James Wan ("Insidious", "The Conjuring") takes over the helming duty from Justin Lin for the seventh installment. Production is currently put on hold as the scribe is getting rewrite on heels of Walker's sudden passing. His brother Cody is rumored being asked to step in for the late star to film the final scenes, but nothing has been set in stone.

Besides being occupied with the next "Fast and Furious" film, Diesel is involved in Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy". The "Riddick" actor is confirmed to voice the Groot, and has posted a picture of him posing with the tree-like character.

"Yep it is completely official. AND he's amazing. I never knew someone could say I AM GROOT so many different ways and with such feeling (and that sounds like I'm kidding but I'm not!)," director James Gunn says. "Vin Diesel is a super awesome dude. I can't tell you how much I like this guy."

The actor once said he would only have one line in the Marvel superhero movie, which is due August 1, 2014. "[But] I'm still going to make it the best thing I possibly can," he uttered, "even if it means taking angry circus to another level."

He will be joined by Bradley Cooper who voices Rocket Raccoon, Michael Rooker who plays Yondu, and Chris Pratt who portrays Star-Lord, the leader of the Guardians. Other cast members include Zoe Saldana, Lee Pace, Benicio Del Toro, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly and Glenn Close.
