Members of the band record themselves in a video and send it to the family of Claire Davis who is in coma after being shot at Arapahoe High School.

AceShowbiz - The boys of One Direction have sent a get-well-soon video message to a 17-year-old student Claire Davis who is a victim of a shooting incident in Colorado. Davis, who is a fan of the group, was shot by a fellow senior student at Arapahoe High School and is in coma.

The 13-second video shows Liam Payne delivering the message with other members standing around him. "Hi, Claire. We've heard you were a big fan and we just wanted to show you some love," he says. "What's happened to you is absolutely terrible, something we can't bear thinking about, so we just wanted to share some love with you. All our prayers are with you and your family. Hope you get well soon. Lots of love." Louis Tomlinson later blows a kiss to the camera.

A source close to the group told CNN on Thursday, December 19 that Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Tomlinson and Payne sent the video to Davis' family. The video is a reaction to the girl's supporters who launched a campaign for the boybanders to visit her at the hospital by using a hashtag #Get1DtoClaire on Twitter. Although the video was intended to be private, Davis' boyfriend apparently uploaded it on YouTube, the source added.

After learning that their effort caught the boys' attention, some fans took to Twitter to express their happiness. "In case you haven't seen this....#get1Dtoclaire worked!!!! So so proud of everyone," a tweet reads. "Guys 1D found out about Claire," another person wrote, adding a link to the video message.
