Sarah Linden and Stephen Holder will come head-to-head with the head of an all-boys military academy who will do anything to defend the school and her charges.

AceShowbiz - Juicy tidbits from "The Killing" season 4 have emerged as the show is once again saved from cancellation after Netflix picked it up for a new 6-episode season. According to a casting notice, the upcoming installment will "focus largely on an all-boys military academy based just outside of Seattle."
A murder case investigation apparently leads Sarah Linden and Stephen Holder to the school, where they come to meet the school's headmistress who is described as someone in her mid-40s or 50s. Currently named Margaret O'Neal, the character is said "a stickler for discipline."
She was dishonorably discharged from the military "due to her involvement in a questionable incident during one of her tours in the Gulf." Margaret has "a deeply buried maternal instinct" and considers the school as a family legacy. Hence, she will do anything to defend it and her charges.
The show is also in search of actors to play other series regulars, including three students. One of them is named Cameron Stanton, a 16- or 17-year-old "black sheep of his wealthy, well-connected family" who will bond with Linden.
The second student is A.J. Fielding, Cameron's "charismatic, over-achieving, attractive" classmate. He's viewed as a leader and a success story, but with a manipulative penchant for taking weaklings under his wing.
The other student is Lincoln, "a troubled boy" who's enlisted at the academy "after allegedly attempting to sexually assault a female teacher at his former high school." He "chafes under the rule of academy administrator [Margaret] but is openly hostile to any of the weaker and smaller male cadets"
Casting is additionally taking place to find for a pretty female in her mid-20s, who will play Kat, a smart "girl from the street, dealt a tough hand," for a three-episode arc. She'll bond with Cameron as a result of their status as "outsiders and lonely souls."
Viewers will additionally meet Linden's mother for the first time as the show is looking for an actress to play a woman in her mid-50s or 60s with a "startling" physical resemblance to Mirielle Enos' character. She may only appear in "two great scenes."
Enos and Joel Kinnaman are set to return as Linden and Holder, while the series' writing staff and crew will return as well. Production for the new season will begin February in Canada.
