The 'Prison Break' actor is tapped to star as a minister to President Snow in both the first and second parts of 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay'.

AceShowbiz - "The Hunger Games" adds another actor to its "Mockingjay" cast ensemble. Robert Knepper is confirmed to star in both "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1" and "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2" which are filmed back to back in Atlanta.

The "Heroes" actor will take on the role of Antonius. Unlike other characters in the franchise, Antonius is not part of Suzanne Collins' young adult book series. He is an original role described as a minister to President Snow (Donald Sutherland).

Knepper was last seen as Kronos in "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters". The "Prison Break" actor has just been cast as the Clock King on The CW's "Arrow" and is currently playing one of the main roles in TNT's "Mob City".

The first "Mockingjay" is due November 21, 2014. It will follow Katniss Everdeen reluctantly leading the districts of Panem in a rebellion against the tyrannical and corrupt Capitol. Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth are among the returning cast, and Julianne Moore is one of the new faces.

The second "Mockingjay" film and the last installment in the film series will follow in November 2015. Both movies are directed by Francis Lawrence who directed "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" released this fall.
