The country superstar announces his plan to go on a world tour in 2014 during his visit to 'Good Morning America' to promote his new release, 'Blame It All on My Roots'.

AceShowbiz - Garth Brooks is hitting the road again next year. The country superstar unexpectedly revealed his plan to go on a world tour on Monday, December 9, when he promoted his new box set "Blame It All on My Roots" on "Good Morning America".

"I would love to but at 52, I'm worried it's the wheelchair and walker tour kinda-thing," Brooks told host Robin Roberts before making the announcement. "You know what, since it's you and since we've had a history forever, let's announce it. We're going on a world tour in 2014."

"I can't believe I just did that but you are a doll," said the husband of Trisha Yearwood. "It sure feels good to get to throw your hat back in the ring. All my babies are fine with it. Ms. Yearwood is fine with it. So, now I get to do what I love to do, which is play music. I get to be with the person I want to be with, which is Ms. Yearwood."

In 2000, Brooks stopped touring to help raise his children. He decided to start touring again after he didn't feel "the guilt of not being there" for his kids anymore as they're now "getting ready to step off into their own paths of the world."

Dates for the tour will be announced later.
