AceShowbiz - "Community" finds a way to bring Jeff Winger back to the fold and it's revealed in a newly-released trailer for season 5. The video opens with an ad featuring Jeff donning a superhero-like costume to promote his law firm, but as it turns out his business goes bankrupt.
"It could be like Scrubs season nine - a revamp, a do-over," Abed offers an idea of how Jeff could return to the college. Indeed, Jeff finds himself teaching in a class of Fundamentals of Law, getting booed and thrown with food by students, including his friends Annie and Troy.
The trailer also gives a look at former "Breaking Bad" star Jonathan Banks, who is added to the cast ensemble as a criminology professor. Original cast member Donald Glover, meanwhile, will have his screen time reduced as he wants to use his time to focus on his music career.
Dan Harmon returns as a showrunner for the fifth season of the cult sitcom following his dramatic exit in May 2012. The new chapter will premiere with back-to-back episodes on Thursday, January 2 at 8 P.M. on NBC.
