Kaneswaran opens up about his engagement in an interview, saying, 'I couldnt even tell the other boys in the band in case they blew the surprise.'

AceShowbiz - The Wanted's member Siva Kaneswaran is now engaged to his girlfriend Nareesha McCaffrey. The boybander reveals details of the proposal in an interview with U.K.'s Hello magazine, saying that no one knew he was going to propose, including his bandmates Max George, Nathan Sykes, Tom Parker and Jay McGuiness.
"It was like a military operation to plan the proposal. I couldn't even tell the other boys in the band in case they blew the surprise," he says. McCaffrey originally wanted to throw a birthday party for the boybander in November, but the 25-year-old singer turned it into an engagement party instead.
"I said to her, 'I wanted a present I would always remember this year by - for you to be my wife.' I'd bought the ring months before I'd been trying to figure out the right time. I love her, I love every bit of her," he gushes over his shoe-designer fiancee. Kaneswaran admits that he designed the diamond sparkler himself.
"I'm still in shock. I don't like surprises and he really surprised me, but I was so happy. I can't wait to start planning the wedding," McCaffrey says of the proposal. The overwhelmed McCaffrey at first rejected the proposal, but she finally accepted. The couple has been dating for six years.
