The Game and Gang Leaders Raising Donation for 7-Year-Old Boy Killed in Shooting

Rapper The Game has donated more than $7,000 to cover the funeral expenses of a 7-year-old boy and reveals that big part of the donation is made by several gang leaders.

AceShowbiz - Rapper The Game has joined forces with some gang leaders to cover the funeral expenses of a 7-year-old boy, Talib Pecantte, who was killed in an apparent gang-related shooting in L.A. recently. The Game told TMZ on Wednesday, December 4 that he wanted to do something for the boy's family since it was close to Christmas.

The rapper, who collected more than $7,000, revealed that major part of the donation was made by several gang leaders. The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Terrell Taylor, also said that he would raise donation as much as he could.

He additionally talked to the gang leaders to cease shooting especially during holiday season. "I figured I would give all the members and all the people and dudes on the street an opportunity to set a short-term goal and at least not shoot or kill anything at least through Christmas," he explained.

The Game called for support for the campaign via his Instagram, asking people to spread the message. "WE ARE ALL RESPONSIBLE TO ASSIST IN PRESERVING OUR CHILDRENS FUTURE. Take action NOW !!!!!!!! These kids deserve to be cared about..... & since it starts with me.......... #CeaseFireLA," he wrote.

Pecante was sitting in a car with his family in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles when he was shot on Monday night. The boy died on Tuesday. His mother and brother were injured in the incident.
