Macklemore and Ryan Lewis Top Spotify's Most Streamed Artists of 2013

Globally, the rap duo's debut LP 'The Heist' is named the world's most streamed album while their hit single 'Can't Hold Us' becomes the most streamed track.

& Ryan Lewis is Spotify's most streamed artist in the world for this year, according to the year-end report of the music streaming service. The rap duo also tops the list of the world's most streamed album with their debut studio effort, "".

Two hit singles off the record, "Can't Hold Us" and "Thrift Shop", become the first and third most streamed tracks globally. Occupying the second place on the same list is 's "Wake Me Up". The Swedish DJ also becomes the second most streamed artist worldwide.

Domestically, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Thrift Shop" and "Can't Hold Us" come as the second and third most streamed track behind ' "Radioactive". Additionally, the rappers' "The Heist" is edged out by the Las Vegas-based band's "" as the most streamed album in the U.S.

In the women's competition, was crowned the most-streamed female artist in the world for the second year in a row. , who shot to fame after releasing her breakthrough single "Royals", captured the title of most viral new artist of 2013.

Accoding to Spotify, its 24 million global users streamed a whopping 4.5 billion hours of music this year.
