Demi Lovato Reacts to Joe Jonas' Weed Smoking Admission

Demi mentions Joe in a Twitter post, saying, 'Love you brother,' after the former boybander wrote in Vulture that she and Miley pressured him to try smoking weed.

AceShowbiz - Joe Jonas has received a response from Demi Lovato after he mentioned the "Neon Light" singer in a piece he wrote on Vulture entitled "Joe Jonas: My Life As a Jonas Brother". Instead of sending angry tweet, Demi wrote on Monday, December 2, "@joejonas love you brother. #family/friendsforever."

Demi's sister Dallas Lovato, however, apparently is not happy with the piece. Without mentioning a name, Dallas tweeted, "Pathetic how people cut others down to get attention off themselves... Loser."

Some of Demi's fans are equally unhappy with the piece and slam Joe on Twitter. "Why are people proud of Joe Jonas for that article? I'm completely embarrassed, he had to name drop like that to stay relevant," a fan wrote. Another fan added, "Wait I don't see the part where he cared about her. He was more worried about his career!"

Joe previously wrote about his first pot-smoking experience. "The first time I smoked weed was with Demi [Lovato] and Miley [Cyrus]. I must have been 17 or 18. They kept saying, 'Try it! Try it!' so I gave it a shot, and it was all right. I don't even smoke weed that often anymore," he said.

The former Jonas Brothers member also talked about Demi's drug problem. "We eventually dated for a month. I really got to know her and got to see the ins and outs of what she was struggling with, like drug abuse. I felt like I needed to take care of her, but at the same time I was living a lie, because I wasn't happy but felt like I had to stay in it for her, because she needed help. I couldn't express any of that, of course, because I had a brand to protect," he revealed.
