The winner of 'The X Factor' says, 'Personally I've got a god-daughter and little nieces and I don't want them to see me acting crazy and naked in my music videos.'

AceShowbiz - Leona Lewis says she won't follow Miley Cyrus who popularized explicit dance twerking. Stopping by U.K.'s TV show "Daybreak", she commented that she would not twerk because it did not suit her songs' style. "I feel like my songs don't really suit twerking so it might look weird if I just started suddenly," she said.
Besides, the winner of 2006's "The X Factor" does not really approve of the sexually-explicit dance move which is not suitable for young audience. "Being sexual and in your face is not great for girls who are quite young. It depends what environment you're brought up in, but personally I've got a god-daughter and little nieces and I don't want them to see me acting crazy and naked in my music videos," Lewis said, as quoted by U.K.'s Daily Mirror.
"But then when my little god-daughter is watching videos and doing all these moves, I say to my best friend 'you need to turn that off. She shouldn't be watching that.' So it's up to the parents as well to be able to control what their children are watching. It's like, 'don't twerk, you're a six year old. Stop it,' " the 28-year-old singer added.
Lewis later suggested that performers who set the raunchy stage acts such as Cyrus and Rihanna might regret their action. "You can't blame those girls, who are being young and sometimes dumb. They're just expressing themselves how they want to. Girls are not perfect, we all make mistakes," she said.
