On the other hand, NBC's coverage of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade hits an 11-year high in metered market households.

AceShowbiz - Lady GaGa failed to turn on the charm to television viewers. Despite being backed up by the adorable puppets and some A-listers to make it family friendly, "Lady GaGa & The Muppets' Holiday Spectacular" only posted 3.6 million viewers and a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49 at 9:30 P.M. It was down 25|percent| from the Michael Jackson special "Bad 25" which ABC aired in the same slot last year.

Preceding the "Holiday Spectacular" was the annual repeat of classic holiday special "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving", which scored 5.3 million viewers and a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating, up 45|percent| from last year. It was also up 3|percent| in metered market rating.

The Lady GaGa Thanksgiving special on ABC was tied to "Glee" in the adult demo (2.8 million, 0.9) as FOX stuck with its usual line-up. Not surprisingly, "The X Factor (US)" hit a series low with 3.8 million viewers and a 1.0 rating, down 64|percent| from last Thanksgiving's 2.8 rating.

Elsewhere, NBC enjoyed a ratings success with the coverage of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The telecast posted a 13.5 rating in metered market households, up 17|percent| from last year. It marks the highest rating in the local markets since 2002.
