Though the hotel says it's 'a coup' to have the Canadian singer 'paint a piece of art in appreciation of his stay,' the Gold Coast City Council will order the hotel to paint over the graffiti.

AceShowbiz - Justin Bieber has once again taken his graffiti skills to the wrong place. The pop superstar recently showed off "a piece of art" which he left on QT Hotel in Surfers Paradise during his stay Down Under, but the picture of cartoon characters he painted on the hotel wall won't be there for long.
Mayor of Gold Coast Tom Tait says the council will be ordering the hotel to remove the graffiti that the "All Around the World" singer and his entourage painted on an external wall on November 26. "It might be on private land but it's in prominent public view," a council spokesman explains to AAP. "The mayor will be contacting our compliance officers today to have a notice issued to the hotel to clean it up."
Tait previously said he would be supplying Bieber with a graffiti removal kit and the pop star should return to get rid of the graffiti. The mayor also suggested Bieber to perform free at an upcoming Christmas carols event to redeem his "silly" action, telling AAP, "Just come and clean it up and we'll be happy with you. Alternatively come and sing at our mayoral Christmas carols on the 7th of December for an hour and I'll let you go."
"The last thing we want is to have graffiti glorified and more young people thinking its a cool thing to do," he explained. The Queensland attorney-general Jarrod Bleijie also slammed Bieber's behavior, saying, "He's admitted to it. He's gone onto his Twitter site and uploaded the shots. It's disrespectful to be doing graffiti, but to boast about it on social media is just taking it to another level."
QT Hotel, however, seemingly has no problem with Bieber's graffiti. The hotel said, "This piece of art is now available to be viewed by fans of the artist and we believe that it is a wonderful addition to the colourful Gold Coast arts scene." A spokesman added, "Whilst unable to comment while Justin Bieber was staying in the resort due to privacy reasons, the property can now state that it was a coup for the hotel to have Justin want to paint a piece of art in appreciation of his stay."
Earlier this month, Bieber was charged for painting graffiti in Brazil. He was only allowed to spray-paint on a designated graffiti wall in the Morro do Vidigal, but decided to paint a wall outside a hotel at Sao Conrado neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro.
The local police department stated, "Authorization granted by the city did not extend to other locations." The 19-year-old star may face up to one year in jail and pay a fine for the act.
