The Duke of Cambridge accepts Bon Jovi's invitation to perform 'Livin' on a Prayer' together onstage after asking Swift to accompany him.

AceShowbiz - Prince William showed off his singing ability when he attended the Winter Whites Gala at Kensington Palace in London on November 26. The Duke of Cambridge collaborated with Jon Bon Jovi and Taylor Swift to treat guests at the event with an impromptu acoustic performance of "Livin' on a Prayer".

Bon Jovi was in the middle of performing the song on the stage when he invited William to join him. The Prince accepted the invitation with one condition. He insisted that Swift, who attended the gala and also performed earlier, had to accompany him. The trio made a fun and unforgettable version of the classic tune.

That night's event was held to raise money in support of homeless charity Centrepoint, which William has been a patron since 2005. His late mother, Princess Diana, was also a patron of the charity.

Both Bon Jovi and Swift were happy to be part of the gala. "What's important for me is to help break the cycle that leads to poverty," the frontman of veteran rock band Bon Jovi said. "And to be invited to highlight it in such illustrious surroundings couldn't be better."

Swift expressed her excitement to be able to perform at Kensington Palace. "I am so excited. I don't think I have ever played in a palace before. So it will be really wonderful," she said. "It's positively magical here. There are fairy lights and there is fake snow falling from the sky and everything is just gorgeous. I am just very lucky to be here."

"This evening is so special... it is for a charity that as well as being very important to Prince William is also very important to me," the 23-year-old country star added.
