In his first interview after being released from prison, Murray says that he did not kill the King of Pop, adding, 'He was a drug addict. Michael Jackson accidentally killed Michael Jackson.'

AceShowbiz - Conrad Murray talks about Michael Jackson's death in his first interview after being released from prison. The disgraced doctor told The Mail on Sunday, November 24 that Jackson was a drug addict and he did not kill the singer.

"I did not kill Michael Jackson. He was a drug addict. Michael Jackson accidentally killed Michael Jackson," Murray insisted. "I never gave Michael anything that would kill him. I loved him. I still do. I always will."

According to Murray, Jackson "was in crisis at the end of his life, filled with panic and misery" as he prepared for his comeback concert. "By the end, Michael Jackson was a broken man. I tried to protect him but instead I was brought down with him," he said.

Jackson was having a hard time prior to his death because of the pressure of the London concert preparation. On the night Jackson died, he was "close to tears," begging Murray to give him some propofol to help him sleep.

Murray said he "reluctantly" gave "minuscule" amount of propofol injection and saw Jackson drifting to sleep before leaving the room. "I believe he woke up, got hold of his own stash of propofol and injected himself. He did it too quickly and went into cardiac arrest," he explained.

"When I came back in the room I knew instantly he wasn't breathing. I didn't panic. I felt and tried to get a pulse. I tried the groin and the carotid artery. There was no pulse. I immediately started CPR. I've resuscitated thousands of people. This was my friend but I went into medical mode," he said.
