Directed by Canadian filmmaker Emily Kai Bock, the new video follows a family of a father and two sons who meet the deceased mother in their dreams.

AceShowbiz - Arcade Fire has dropped the official music video for their "Afterlife". Directed by Emily Kai Bock and produced by the Creators Project, the video gives a glimpse at a Spanish-speaking dad having a dinner with his two sons. During a conversation on the dining table, it's revealed that the older boy doesn't get along too well with his dad.

After putting his younger son to sleep, the dad then falls asleep on a sofa while his older son ends up sleeping on a bus on his way home from his friend's house. They eventually dream of the same thing, meeting the deceased mother.

"Afterlife" is taken from Arcade Fire's critically-acclaimed newest album, "Reflektor". The record debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200 after it was released back in October. To support their album, the Win Butler-fronted band will embark on their "Reflektor" tour next year.

Arcade Fire recently made headlines after requesting fans to dress up to their upcoming concerts. "Night of show, please wear formal attire or a costume," they said as printed on the tickets.

However, the band has made it clear that they just want everyone to have "more fun" by dressing up at the shows. In a statement posted on their Facebook page, they said, "To everyone really upset about us asking people to dress up at our shows... please relax. It's super not mandatory. It just makes for a more fun carnival when we are all in it together. So far these have been the best shows we have ever played. See you soon."
