Adam Levine Calls Sexiest Man Alive Title 'Flattering' as Netizens Slam It
Celebrity

One responder says People magazine 'got it wrong, wrong wrong,' while a Facebook user thinks there's 'nothing sexy about a man-o-rexic, serial model-dater.'

AceShowbiz - While Adam Levine is still basking in the glory of being named this year's Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine, some have reacted against it. As soon as the publication announced it, netizens expressed their disagreement through various online media.

Laura Beck of website Jezebel thought "his terribly smug personality and terribly terrible music" made him unfit to join previous title holders including Channing Tatum, Bradley Cooper, George Clooney and Ryan Reynolds. She added, "I just want to f**k him and then kill him. IS THAT SO WRONG?"

A responder simply commented on the news, "got it wrong, wrong wrong," while another wrote, "Levine is anything but sexy." A Facebook user named Angela Olsen posted, "So sorry. Nothing sexy about a man-o-rexic, serial model-dater."

A totally different reaction came from Blake Shelton, Levine's fellow coach on "The Voice". "I want you to know that I think you're beautiful for what's on the inside," the country music singer told the Maroon 5 frontman after Carson Daly broke the news on the NBC singing competition show Tuesday night, November 19.

Asked how he felt about getting the honor, the fiance of Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo told E!, "It's bizarre. It's funny. It's awesome, flattering." The tattoo-clad guy admitted that he felt "a lot more" handsome after scoring the coveted title, adding, "I felt like today was the first day I've ever felt like I was being a little handsome."
